Thirty nine competitors over the age of 55 took part in the tenth South of Scotland Senior Championships on Wednesday 7 August at Dumfries & Galloway Golf Club on a beautiful summer’s day. The course was again in excellent condition but the true, fast greens proved more difficult to the older players and scores were on the high side overall resulting in a CSS of 73.
John McGowan (Southerness) mastered the conditions to return a fine score of 73 closely followed by Douglas Hunter (Southerness) with 74.
