David Brodie (Wigtown & Bladnoch) secured the South of Scotland Order of Merit 2014 with one event to spare after his third place finish in the Lennox Trophy at Lochmaben on Sunday 13 September. His excellent form throughout the season makes David a deserved winner of the title, he has gained points in every event in which he has played. The Order of Merit title secures his place in the South team for next years Scottish Area Team Championship. Martin McNae (Lochmaben) moved up to second place with his victory in the Lennox and continues his strong finish to the season.
Martin now leads Mike Grunwell (Powfoot) by 25 points and Craig Hill (D & G) by 50 points in the fight for second and third places. These will be decided at the last event on Sunday 28 September at the JAL Brown Trophy at Portpatrick.
