Only two Clubs supply the four leaders in the Order of Merit following the cancellation of the MacRobert Salver at Stranraer on Saturday 22 July due to adverse weather and the Brotherston Trophy at Dumfries & County on Sunday 23 July. The MacRobert Salver has been rearranged for later in the season.
In the Brotherston Trophy, Fraser Hughes (Newton Stewart) with his two fine rounds of 71, 67 (138) beat Michael Grunwell (D&G) 72, 67 (139) by one shot but moved up two places in the Order of Merit and now lies second, only 15 points, behind Michael.
David Brodie (Newton Stewart) with his sixth place moved up to a tie for third with Chris Corbett (D&G) but all the rest in the previous top ten marked time as the minor places were taken by some of the up-and –coming younger generation. Jamie Parker (Southerness) (140) was third, Rory Brunton (D&G) (141) fourth, Ryan Johnston (D&G) (142) fifth, fifteen-year-old Harry Austin (D&G) (143) seventh and Alex Long (New Galloway) (145) ninth. The exception was Colin Hamilton (Stranraer) (144) who was eighth and moved up five positions to tie for tenth.
