Dear Golfers,

Hopefully, you are all enjoying the golf season and some form of normality. 

We would like to take this opportunity to explain a little more about the creation of the South of Scotland Winter Alliance.  We were recently shocked to find out about the lack of opportunities for the next generation of junior golfers in our area, to better develop and evolve their skills.  The main contributors to the lack of development are – financial funding, coaching provisions, and volunteers.

James Erskine has opted to assist the South of Scotland Executive on all initiatives to purely promote the further advancement of Junior Golf in our regions!!

He felt that the creation of a Winter Alliance would allow the executive to connect to its membership and affiliated clubs while generating some essential income, allowing junior programmes to advance into a sustainable expansion.  The future objective for the South Executive is to be able to assist all local clubs & aspiring young players with development opportunities which are currently lacking or not available.

What we are offering as a solution to assist the initiative is:

With your support we have on offer 100 memberships available in year one at £100 per player. 

Each event has a separate £5 entry payable via each clubs booking platform.  This will be the sweep & 2’s on each day. 

Prize funds for Scratch, Handicap, Senior and Junior will be in place with the best 3 scores out of 6 counting for the OOM prize pot of £4000.

This will be a great opportunity to play some of the region’s top courses, meet old and new friends from across the area. It is open to any male member of a South of Scotland club, Any Professional golfer associated to a South of Scotland club and any Junior golfer with a handicap of 12 and below.
