David Brodie (Wigtown & Bladnoch) showed he was the best player in South Area this season by winning the final counting event, the JAL Brown Trophy at Portpatrick, to win the South of Scotland Order of Merit for 2014 by over 200 points. Martin McNae (Lochmaben) had another good season to finish in second place, helped by strong performances towards the end of the season. Mike Grunwell (Powfoot) held on to third place despite missing the last few events due to other commitments. See all the placings in the full table
