Thornhill Golf Club has produced a junior golfer to follow in the footsteps of internationalist Andrew Coltart in sixteen-year-old Taylor Kerr. He has been selected to represent Scottish Schools in the annual match against English Schools at Lancaster Golf Club on Monday 10 September. This is a marvellous honour for Taylor and well deserved.
Taylor attends Sanquhar Academy, is Junior Captain at Thornhill Golf Club and has a plus 1 handicap. He has shown marvellous dedication, commitment and hard work to achieve the consistency and skills to maintain such a high standard. His record this year includes playing five times for the South Junior Team and winning all his singles matches and winning the Niagara Cup at The Scottish Boys Area Team Championship for the lowest individual round.
All golfers in Dumfries & Galloway wish him well on his international debut.
