On Sunday 5 May, Ayrshire narrowly defeated South of Scotland by 9.5 points to 8.5 points, in the re-arranged Centenary Trophy match, at Brunston Castle Golf Club.
South of Scotland had a successful morning foursomes to lead by 3.5 points to 2.5. In the afternoon singles matches the four Under 16 boys got the South of Scotland off to great start with 3 wins and a halved match but the four Under 18 boys only gained a half point. In the four Youth singles ties, Ayrshire came out on top in three, giving them a winning total of 9.5 points to ensure the Trophy returned to Ayrshire for 2013
