At Lockerbie Golf Club on Sunday 24 May on a cold, cloudy and windy day a young inexperienced South U16 squad entertained their counterparts from across the Solway Firth. This is the premier amateur team championship of Scotland, contested by the 16 Area Associations of the SGU. Each Area is represented by their 6 leading male amateur players, competing in a stroke play qualifying format with the leading 8 teams qualifying for the match play final stages. WINTER COACHING UPDATE We have successfully held four coaching days over the winter months at Brighouse Bay Golf Club and Development Centre. PGA Professional Chris Robinson has led a full and comprehensive programme focusing on developing performance. He was assisted by fellow PGA Professional David¬†Broadfoot.
